So many forums, and groups Im part of recommend Six of Crows, Couple that with Leigh Bardugo also being one of the DC legends authors I thought Id obviously missed something big.
After finishing the first of the duology I can say I’m completely convinced. Maybe my hopes were too high, but I can say for certain that I wouldn’t be putting the second book on my *notify me when released* pile, it’d be one to find when I’m browsing the market stall.
I cant explain why Im not a fan, I don’t dislike it, the characters are good, the story has a purpose, the backstory works perfectly and the romance section is the usual how can they not know/will they-wont they arc. The book should sit right in my happy place, I just found it too easy to put down.
All that said. Not only am I glad that I read it, I will be reading book two, but I think its down to the fact that I already have it.
