Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I tried so hard to wait until the TOD tour date at Waterstones Piccadilly next week before I read this but I just couldn’t!
TOD takes us to a new part of the Throne of Glass world – Antica. Theres no Aelin, although she is still a strong story in the background, but there is a new female lead Yrene Towers, whose story is captivating and engrossing.
Chaol and Nesryn are attempting to rally support for the war against the Valg, along with seeking a healer to help Chaol walk again. Antica is where they head to, a kingdom that has just lost its youngest princess.
I know some people feel the book was too long ( Should it have been a novella? I think I’d have been crying out for more) but for me it was perfect, the level of detail and information about the history of the war and its main players throughout the series along with the development of some of these characters kept me reading, and reading and reading.
