This book popped up on my to read list because I’ve read Girl on the Train. I can understand why they linked it, but it’s not the selling point for the book – there’s no real resemblance in writing style or plotline. I was then lucky enough to get a copy from NetGalley to read. The title didn’t initially appeal to me, and not just because I have a friend who calls everyone babydoll!
I skimmed the promotional outline (below) and jumped straight in. I am so glad that the title didn’t deter me.

.Theres not really any chapter breaks or definition making it was so easy to get lost in the story and not realize how much time has passed. It’s just engrossing. I enjoyed the characters and the emotion the story conveyed. The story is told from varying Points of View which really makes some characters stand out as more interesting.
Theres a handful of little points in the book that didn’t quite sit right with me, either Lily’s behavior or lack of, which I wont spoil for you, but overall I enjoyed the read.
