I love making a new book friend. Especially when they like the same books as you. Thats how I discovered the Chestnut Springs series. I took advantage of the latest Kindle Unlimted offer ( 3 months for the price of one), signed up and downloaded all the books.
Heres the problem. I already had a handful of books to read, Famous Last Words by Gillian McAllister, The new Richard Osman book ( where no doubt my nan will be calling me as soon as she finishes her copy to discuss) and a long list on netgalley. In the background Im trying to work out when to start the re read of Fourth Wing before Onyx storm is realeased in January too. Of course that didnt stop me from diving in to a five book series.
Set in the country is a small every one knows everyones business town, with a farm run by one of a handful of brothers. Cade runs the farm, Rhett and his friend Theo are Bull riders, Jasper is a famous Hockey player and then theres Beau, Miltary man. Then theres the Ladies, Summer and her sister Winter, Summers best friend Willa then we have the not cousin ballet dancer and hometown girl from the wrong side of the tracks (Apologies I cant remember their names already!). In the background is the boys dad, possily my fave character accross the series.

These books are easy reading cowboy romances ( Cowbomances?). The books can all be read on their own but why would you when you can read all five! The storys overlap to make them independant but refer to each other. Personally I would rather the stories overlapped a little more and it have been less books but each one slightly thicker, but I appriciate why they re not.
As with so many books like this the good characters are really easy to like and the bad ones easy to hate. You’re onside with the MC and really want it to work out for them despite having moments of judging them and being jealous.
It sparked a curiousity in me around Bull Riding too. Whilst the risks arent ignored the riders all sounded like they were what we’d define as perfect male specimines, even with their injuries and the sport really engrossing. Thanks to youtube I watched about 2 minutes before I went back to a book. For me my imagination is a million times better than the real thing.
If you like a little romance then add these books to your TBR pile. Read them in order, book after book. I think its the best way.
